Anna Schäfer

By Dietmar Jacobs

What doesn't happen on a crazy sleepless night? Marie, the main character in Anna Schäfer's new and brilliant solo, knows the problem.

Like many people, she sleeps poorly because she can't stop her thoughts. During the night, all her strange and hilarious ideas pop up regularly, which she always wanted to share with her friends, opponents and the whole world.

In a quick, very funny, but also touching and musical monologue, Anna Schäfer aims right at the heart of our time. She plays, sings and whirls through the big topics that concern her and us. She changes figures and characters at high speed and creates a contemporary as well as fantastic and satirical painting of our country and its inhabitants. Personal, political, pointed and with a wild desire to play. A fast-paced journey between theatre, cabaret, comedy and storytelling.

An evening about the stories we tell ourselves and others. The stories that are our lives.

Anna Schäfer is supported for this program by playwright and Grimme Prize winner Dietmar Jacobs (Stromberg, Mord mit Aussicht, Extra 3, Heute Show, Kom (m) ödchen Düsseldorf).

Also by director Hans Holzbecher (award-winning satire director, primarily since 2006 Kom (m) Ödchen Düsseldorf, as well as productions for theatre and musicals such as West Side Story, Jekyll & Hyde, etc.).

And from composer Jochen Kilian (music director at many city and

State Theaters, Theater des Westens, Berlin, working as a composer and arranger for many German-language artists and stages, including Friedrichstadtpalast, Berlin).

An evening that will certainly leave no one unmoved
