When Anne Linnet embarks on a nationwide tour in the autumn of 2026, it is with the large, four-part work “Songs For Life” at its centre. An ambitious and deeply personal project, written through a lifetime — shaped by journeys, life stages, loss, hope and the relationships that bind us together.
“Songs For Life” was released in 2022 and contains a total of 50 songs. The work revolves around what we all share: love, loss, fragility and the realization that life is constantly in motion. Musically, as she has always done, Anne Linnet moves effortlessly between the poetic and the direct, the contemplative and the concerned — with melody and language as the driving force.
“Songs For Life has arisen because life insisted on it,” Anne Linnet recounts. “There are a total of 50 songs, so if I were to sing them all at the same concert, it would be a marathon performance. So the song list has varied from tour to tour — and also this fourth time, the songs from the great work will be garnished with some of the songs that the audience already knows and that I know people care about.”
The concerts are performed with Anne Linnet's Quartet, which besides herself consists of Julie Lindell, Markus Lindell and Kasper Falkenberg. Together they create a vibrant and nuanced sonic universe where the melodic craftsmanship, strong lyrics and musical intimacy are given space to unfold. The quartet moves from the country's largest concert halls to smaller, intimate venues -- always with the songs taking center stage.
