Antje Rietz & Band: A trumpet rarely comes alone

Antje Rietz, the singer with the trumpet, leads through this varied concert program full of swing, jazz and cheeky chansons with tongue-in-cheek charm and her own profound ease.

Born in Berlin, she sings lyrics and songs by Hildegard Knef, Cole Porter or Louis Prima, “I got Rhythm” by George Gershwin or “Ein Tag wie Gold” from the cult series Babylon Berlin make Friedrichstraße shake. With the elegant sound of her golden trumpet, she is able to touch hearts without words. And she celebrates the virtuoso ease with which the band accompanies her. A musical revelation of versatility and pleasure.

Antje Rietz is an actress and musician with several awards (Stuttgart Theatre Audience Prize, Theater Ingolstadt Audience Prize, Operetta Frog Award from Bavarian Radio), has played in Berlin at the Theater des Westens, the Schlosspark Theater, the Comedy am Kurfürstendamm and the Neukölln Opera and tours Germany with her band.
