AnyMart | Splat! FilmFest

Sakai works in his father's 24-hour shop and feels like his life is over before it started for good. Boisterous customers, barren conversations and rigid rules fill the next identical days. Only the new employee makes him begin to question the order to which he has so far obediently submitted. Meanwhile, the shopping routine turns into a bloody nightmare. “Anymart” combines a disturbing thriller with black comedy, leading from the absurdities of everyday work to the macabre. Laughter is more and more often trapped in the throat when a poignant story emerges from under the grotesque about people whose work takes away the remnants of strength and hope for another life.
