ARABELA

Arabela is a spectacular family show, gracefully combining the world of fairy tales with reality, and a classic adventure story with intelligent humor and contemporary commentary on reality.

When a television actor, Mr. Majer, accidentally finds himself in fairyland, a seemingly minor accident sets off an avalanche of events that shake the established order. Here Rumburak, a wizard of the second category, will start a rebellion against the hierarchy and rules of the fairyland, influencing the world of people by the way. In addition, the impossible happens: the fairy-tale princess, Arabella, and the completely unfathomable representative of the human world - Petr - fall in love with each other. Their love, tested by the intrigues of Rumburak, the ambition of the royal sister Xenia, and the stupidity of an evil witch, becomes one of the key points of the story, in which not only the happiness of the protagonists is at stake, but also the future of both worlds.

The show, inspired by the iconic Czechoslovak series of the 80s, is Czech humor, a plot full of sudden twists, but also surprisingly topical questions: what is power and rebellion, where the line between truth and manipulation runs, and whether the world of fairy tales is really less “real” than our own.
