AREX. MOM. PANORAMA

A humorous documentary that won the Studio Cinema Association Award at Millennium Docs Agaisnt Gravity. Not every hero sets out to save the world. Some just want to get out of mom's watchful eye for a while. Arek Parasite is in his thirties, a creative crisis, a sense of being stuck in place and a mom who cares about him more than anyone else. He is also an artist and performer on a daily basis. When Arek decides to go to the Tatras in search of independence and a cool distance from everyday life, he accidentally finds himself on the trail of one of the greatest mysteries of Polish art history — the monumental Panorama of the Tatras, a 115 x 16 meter painting that disappeared more than 130 years ago. This is how the journey through Podhale begins, during which Arek talks to the locals, searches archives, fights the heat, unruly camping equipment and his mother, who, although at a distance, still plays a very intense role in the whole project.
