Overprotective mom? It is. Silent dad? Also. A creative crisis and a constant feeling of unfulfillment? They are! Arek Parasite really has a knack for it. In order to free himself from the hopeless situation, he decides to go to the Tatras for the first time in his life. There he finds the trail of the largest painting in the history of Poland — monumental (115x16m!) Panorama of the Tatras, lost more than 130 years ago. He decides to find her.
Arek rides his bike through the charming villages of Podhale and climbs the Tatra Mountains. During the search, he struggles with the August sun, a fragile human memory and a faulty tourist stove. As he discovers the next pieces of the puzzle, he learns more and more about the history of years ago, but also about himself.
With his mother supervising his every step, a misunderstanding of the art world and his own doubts, does Arek have a chance to achieve something as great as the painting he is looking for? Arek.Mama.Panorama is a tender, humorous portrait of a man in the struggle for dreams, in which everyone finds a piece of himself. At some point in life, we are all Arks.
