The Secret World of Arrietty

Hiromasa Yonebayashi has worked as an animator on several of anime master Hayao Miyazaki's films and made his directorial debut with “The Secret World of Arrietty”, based on the 1952 British children's book classic The Patrons. Beneath the floorboards of an old, fairy-tale house, 14-year-old Arrietty lives with her parents. It's hard for adventurous Arrietty to completely stay hidden when the world holds so many exciting challenges. On one of her trips into the human world, she meets the boy Sho, and her life is changed forever. “An endlessly breathtaking cartoon” with a “fascinating diversity”, said Per Juul Carlsen of DR Filmland. The film is recommended from the age of 6 (Danish speaking).
