Artur Haftman - piano concerto

Lyrical ballads, nostalgic nocturnes and emotional sonatas will enchant the listeners of the piano concert, resounding with all their might in the space of the auditorium of the Municipal Cultural Center. When Artur Haftman sits at the piano and masterfully played notes flow from the instrument, the guests will be lost in the music of the outstanding Polish composer Fryderyk Chopin.

The Municipal Cultural Centre will host a unique piano recital performed by Artur Haftman — an outstanding Polish pianist of the young generation, winner of more than 25 international piano competitions and an artist appreciated for his interpretations of Fryderyk Chopin's music. His concerts are met with enthusiastic reception from the audience and critics, who emphasize the extraordinary sound culture, musical maturity and the ability to build bonds with the listeners. The pianist, who began learning to play the piano at the age of six, has already performed on concert stages in many European countries and in the United States, gaining recognition as an artist with exceptional sensitivity and broad interpretive horizons. Although he is currently associated with London, where he also conducts pedagogical and organizational activities, serving as artistic director of the London International Chopin Competition, he is passionate about concerts all over the world, sharing his sensitivity and artistic artistry with classical music fans.

During the recital, the audience will have the opportunity to hear works belonging to the most beautiful and representative works of Fryderyk Chopin. The program will include compositions full of grace and lyricism, as well as works of monumental momentum, showing the richness of emotions and extraordinary musical imagination of the composer. The recital will be a musical journey through the different facets of Chopin's work — from the subtle poetry of the nocturnal and reflective mood of the famous “Rain Prelude”, through the epic narration of the Ballad in A major, to the drama of the Sonata in B minor and the patriotism of the spirit in Polonaise in A major. In the interpretation of Artur Haftman, these works acquire a special force of expression, combining virtuosity with a deep understanding of Chopin's emotionality.
