Atol Atol Atol erupted in Wrocław as a synthesis of the experiences of the strongest musical pillars of the “Salki” CRK community. The Hidden Advantages of the System, Kurws, Glamour — they were the ones who raised the wave of the most exciting music in Wrocław since the time of Klaus Mitffoch. Łukasz Plata (bass, voice), Agata Horwat (keyboards, vocals), Hubert Kostkiewicz (guitar) and Artur Soszyński (drums) are all united under a peculiar banner in which the fantasy of an exotic holiday fights against the specter of nuclear annihilation. Atolls play post punk, but not according to the clues left by the worn-out Anglocentric canon. Rather, they evoke the pernicious spirit of no wave, the social sensibility of the Dutch anarchists of The Ex, the free method and the memory of the continental rock avant-garde strained by the slogan Rock In Opposition. All mixed up in variable, mutating proportions. The result is shabby, lunatic songs, in which the space is separated by a sharpened groove, narcotic clouds of synthesizers, the moans of a degenerate guitar and mechanically organized vocals.

In November 2025, their second album “Dron Dron Dron” was released. On vinyl released by Mangel Records and Red Wig Records. On tape released by Syf Records and U-Bac.

The band's music is cool, post-punk, at the same time neurotic, ripped, multi-threaded. He's like Klaus Mitffoch on afterburners, but trapped in an apartment that's too cramped.

The word anxiety could be the key here, after all, no one knows when the eponymous “Drone Drone Drone” falls through the window “because he wants to know what's wrong with you?” It sounds abstract, maybe even funny at first, but it has nothing to do with a joke. Rather, with a ghostly vision of reality, which is perhaps not so abstract at all, and certainly not impossible. And this music makes us realize that. Dirty, sharp, rough, ragged sound, dense with meanings.
