We invite you to the AUKSO concert with the participation of the excellent pianist Hadrian Filip Tabęcki, dedicated to film music related to the work of the outstanding director Andrzej Wajda, who was honored with an Oscar for his lifetime of work.
Man of Music This is the third joint expedition of AUKSO and Hadrian Filip Tabęcki — author of the rock “Teutonic Knights” and the musical “Dnia Świra” — into the world of original film music. This time the composer, known for his broad sound horizons and courage in breaking aesthetic taboos, will face the achievements of artists as diverse as symphonic-dramatic Jan Krenz, funk-psychedelic Andrzej Korzyński, patriotic-romantic Wojciech Kilar and young Polish-dreamlike Stanisław Radwan.
However, the real hero of the evening will be one — Andrzej Wajda. The achievements of the giant of Polish cinema could serve not only as a textbook on the history of native music of the second half of the 20th century, but also as a course in the modern history of our country: from the Napoleonic times, through the industrial revolution, the tragedy of the Holocaust, the Warsaw uprising and Stalinism, to the Carnival of Solidarity.
