off | flight

We're going on a trip! What are we taking with us? And what do we find when we arrive? What and who was there before us? And is anything changing now — because we've joined? With off | flug, we are developing a new piece that we will later not only play on GRIPS, but also as a mobile production on trips to Berlin districts. To do this, we set out on a journey of discovery ourselves, do research in daycare centers, parents' cafés and playgrounds, want to know from children which eyes they see Berlin and how they experience urban space. Are the best things really big or do you have to look for them with a magnifying glass? And when two set off, who says where they're going and why? What is in your backpack, your suitcase?

Cast a team of small and large day trippers and experts from daycare centers and the theatre.

We start the project “off | flight” as a process in which we review the usual processes and distribution of tasks between theatre education, dramaturgy, direction and the participating artists “on stage” and readjust them at various points. Even stronger (and earlier!) As usual, we also want to involve our audience, children aged 3 and over and their parents and siblings. For this purpose, research and meetings take place in daycare centers and neighborhoods in Moabit from the start of the game. We will work with Moabiter Ratschlag e.V. and the new “Kulturmanege Moabit”, among others.
