Autofiction

The latest film from the Oscar-winning star director and screenwriter, Pedro Almodóvar. With Autofiction, he is back with a personal and complex drama in which he explores the limits of the relationship between life and fiction.

The film follows advertising director Elsa who, after the death of her mother, immerses herself in work to cope with the situation. When a migraine attack forces her to take a break, she decides to travel to Lanzarote with her friend Patricia.
The story of these women runs parallel to that of a screenwriter and film director, exploring how life and fiction are inextricably linked, at times painfully.
