Writers in conversation

Venue: Rangfoyer - Following the presentation of Der Liebling, we invite you to a follow-up discussion with playwrights Svenja Viola Bungarten and Patty Kim Hamilton. Svenja Viola Bungarten made her debut at the Deutsches Theater with an essay for Theresa Thomasberger's production of Klaus Theweleit's Male Fantasies. With Der Liebling, she thematically draws on her engagement with femininity, power and right-wing narratives. Patty Kim Hamilton was a studio author at the Deutsches Theater in the 2023/2024 season and translated the favorite into English. Together, they talk about the play and writing for the theatre.
