We invite you to an author's tour of the exhibition “Cutting line”. During the meeting, Joanna Szpak-Ostachowska will talk about the construction of the exhibition, all its elements and contexts. The tour will be complemented by a short lecture on the floral theme in the history of painting and photography.

The event will be translated into Polish Sign Language.

Joanna Szpak-Ostachowska — photographer, visual artist and photography teacher. Graduate of Polish Studies and Cultural Animation at the University of Warsaw. She graduated from the Sputnik Photos Mentoring Program (2019/2020). Member of the women's collective DJAM. In his practice, he focuses on the issues of time, loss, intimacy and the material traces of emotions. He works mainly with the medium of photography, also reaching for collage, archives, text and objects. He conducts author classes, lectures and photo walks. Author of the photo books Weeds and Six Vases. Her works have been presented, among others, at the Ujazdowski Castle Centre for Contemporary Art (Warsaw), the Znakes of Time Centre for Contemporary Art (Toruń), the Town Hall Gallery (Zamość), the Chłodna 20 Art Gallery (Warsaw), at the Rybnik Photo Festival (Rybnik) and during the Photography Month in Krakow (ShowOff). Her works are in private collections and in the collections of the Warsaw Museum.
