From this year's Avant Art Film program at Kino Iluzjon, we present five unique documentaries dedicated to artists who, with their imagination and consistency, have changed the way we think about music, performance and cinema. Each of them has developed their own language — not subject to fashions, genres or expectations.

From the experimental compositions of Meredith Monk and the Afrofuturistic vision of Sun Ra, to the anarchic energy of Butthole Surfers and the extraordinary musical sensibility of Warren Ellis, to the hypnotic world of David Lynch, the films present a story of radical imagination, creative independence and the courage to push boundaries.

This is an intimate selection from this year's edition of Avant Art Film — an invitation to meet artists who did not follow the history of culture, but co-created it.
