Avatars: Reality 2.0 is a show for young people about the pressure of being perfect, the influence of social media and escaping into the virtual world. The four heroines create dream versions of themselves in the game, which over time begin to take control of them also outside the game. It's a story about complexes, the need for acceptance, trauma, and reclaiming your own identity — about not having to be the “best version of yourself” to be yourself. Text inspired by Dostoevsky's “doppelganger”.
We are pleased to invite you to the premiere of the play, the producer of which is the Henryk Kuźniak Cultural Mine. We are glad to be a part of this venture and invite you to a joint meeting with the theater, which takes up such important topics concerning modern youth.
The script is written by Paulina Zdancewicz-Piotrowska, directed by Andrzej Kroczyński. On stage we will see Nicoletta Dragon, Dorota Rusek-Binkowska, Agata Śliwa and Weronika Wronka.
The show for schools will take place on November 13 at 10.00, while the premiere is on November 14 at 17.00 at the Henryk Kuźniak Cultural Mine in Czeladz.
Tickets for PLN 25 can be purchased in the “Buy Ticket” tab and at the box office at Trznadla 1 street in Czeladz. The performance will be translated into Polish Sign Language (PJM).
The co-organizer of the event is the Damier Theater. The performance was co-financed by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage from the Culture Promotion Fund.
We cordially invite you to the Henryk Kuźniak Cultural Mine to discover together a history that prompts us to reflect on who we are and how important it is not to lose ourselves in the world of created ideals.
