BABE HAVEN + LATTER

Venue: Warsaw, VooDoo Club

North Carolina native Babe Haven combines the rebellious spirit of riot grrrl with a nu-metal heavyweight. They sing about resistance, solidarity and the empowerment of queer and female voices, and their concerts are famous for both their wild atmosphere and sense of community. The band has already shared the stage with Mannequin Pussy, Otoboke Beaver, Soft Play and Teen Mortgage, and on the recently released album “Nuisance” they combined punk, thrash and nu metal even bolder, confirming their status as one of the most exciting new voices on the American scene.

Latter is a Chicago-based project balancing noise rock, performance art and an experimental approach to sound. Founded by sound artist Meredith Haines and drummer Jonathan Alvarado (Beach Bunny), it quickly garnered attention with an uncompromising sound based on tension, noise and emotional honesty. Haines also made a guest appearance on last year's album Crippling Alcoholism, “Despair”, and the band has already toured with Heart To Gold, WHORES. and Stay Inside, among others.
