Baby Did a Bad Thing moves at the crossroads of americana, folkrock, country and indie, and on October 28 you can hear them live at BETA. Live, Baby Did a Bad Thing is known for a presentable format where the songs and interaction take center stage. The music draws clues to both classic American songwriting and more recent Nordic interpretations of the americana genre.
The band is active with their third album, 'Hope', and here the quartet continues with a songwriting universe characterized by guitar-based arrangements, vocal harmonies and an organic band expression.
The album revolves around community, relationships and finding a foothold in a changing time. The title track 'Hope' thematically points to the same questions that characterize the rest of the release: how to stay connected to other people when the world around you feels insecure.
The band consists of Jonas Fjelsted (vocals and guitar), Emil Overmark (guitar and pedal steel), Thomas Friis (bass) and Casper Simonsen (drums). They debuted in 2020 with the self-titled album 'Baby Did a Bad Thing', followed up with 'Out of the Blue' in 2023 and are now current with 'Hope'.
