Primary school teacher Maria does everything she can to inspire and support her class of ten-year-olds.

Primary school teacher Maria does everything she can to inspire and support her class of ten-year-olds. But a single, particularly chaotic and unpredictable student always throws lessons out of balance. While her professional future is increasingly being called into question and the child's behavior continues to escalate, Maria makes a series of serious mistakes. These eventually lead to her accidentally taking the student home and locking him in there. Maria desperately tries to get the situation under control again. But when the class suddenly blossoms and both colleagues and parents are enthusiastic about the positive changes, there seems to be no easy way out of their dilemma.
