Bad Kingdom

Venue: Room A - What happens to a society when more and more people lose confidence that the future can be better? In “Bad Kingdom,” people meet who are trying to regain control of their lives in an increasingly unstable world. They search for love, security, and belonging while political certainties around them are shattering, social conflicts escalate, and the fear of social decline, war, and an authoritarian future grows. Who benefits from this fear? Why are anger and powerlessness increasingly being mobilized by the political right? And what happens to our relationships when the crises of the outside world penetrate ever deeper into our private lives?
