The play tells the story of Balladina, but not the merciless one from Juliusz Słowacki's pen. An adaptation based on Jeremy's version of the Tool, where the classic meets the absurd and the great literary gestures collide with the puppet detail. Here drama is mixed with farce, and murder with grotesque. Every year Balladyna rises from the grave like a graduation ghost, scares the belfries and terrorizes the Polonists. Loneliness became her curse, memories - torture.

In this monoshow, the heroine talks about the path she had to overcome to sit on the throne. Can her ruthlessness be funny? Where is the line between power and madness?

Attention! Scenes can be drastic for vegetarians.

The project “Balladyna 68 — in a slightly shortened version” was realized at the Aleksander Zelwerowicz Theater Academy in Warsaw Branch in Białystok as part of the class Technique of working with an actor in a puppet plan, based on the work “Balladyna 68” by Jeremi Usztyła with music by Jerzy Wasowski.
