Horror shorts return to the gothic interiors of St John's Centre!
Dare to sit over ancient graves and immerse yourself in a world of dark stories...
This time we will present 10 short gems, found courtesy of Octopus Film Festival and Poznań's Animator Festival. We will also show off the treasure from our One Minute Film Festival!
Fear has many shades and takes on a variety of costumes. Tales of hunters, work for demons, visits to strange shopping centers, unusual endings of lives or finally a completely different autumn than usual - these are just some of the themes that will accompany you during this spooky session.
So, pinch your fingers on the backrests and go with us into the darkness...
P.S. There will be jokes too!
Set duration: 85 minutes
The horror shorts set will be complemented by a spooky soundtrack performed on organ by RenStivriņa.
The show is open to Deaf people — the entrance will be translated into Polish Sign Language (PJM), and Polish subtitles will be displayed during the screening.
Make yourself comfortable in one of the most spectacular cinemas in northern Poland, from where we will embark on a cruise through the Baltic cinema!
In the Bałtyk Movie series, we present original, lesser-known phenomena and film productions, preparing screenings in the Gothic St John's Centre in Gdańsk, whose origins date back to the middle of the 14th century.

The Church of St. John is one of those places in Gdańsk, where the former Gdańsk residents are close to those who live today. We will walk through the tombstones, look at stone skulls and hourglasses, read epitaphs founded by people who wanted us to remember them.
During the walk, we will walk around the church and through its interior, looking for traces of how death was once measured. We will talk about the churchyard and what happens to such a cemetery after a few hundred years; about epidemics that managed to depopulate entire quarters in a few months, and about the 20th-century catastrophe, after which the church stood burned down for decades.
