Operetta with the hit “Great fame is a joke”! Gypsy love, Hungarian rhythms, Viennese waltzes, an excellent cast of singer soloists, the great Arte Creatura Musical Theater Orchestra conducted by a renowned conductor, beautiful classical costumes, modern lighting and a huge dose of emotion and musical energy.
The operetta “Gypsy Baron” by Johann Strauss is a lively story about love, the joy of life, where money, fame and honor are often a joke of fate. And it is from her that the aria “Great fame is a joke” comes from. The premiere of the operetta took place in Vienna on the composer's 60th birthday, and since then it has been successful on all European music scenes.
We present a complete musical performance with beautiful costumes, refined choreography and original scenography, without abbreviations and truncated concert versions! The stage will feature soloists of international music scenes, winners of vocal competitions, who delight the audience with excellent voices and entertain to tears with the vicissitudes of the main characters. They are accompanied by the Arte Creatura Musical Theatre Orchestra composed of outstanding musicians, virtuosos of their instruments, under the direction of a renowned conductor.
The titular Baron — Sandor Barinkay returns after years of wandering to the ruined manor and tries to recover the family estate. Chipra's old gypsy prophesies love and money to him, but it quickly turns out that neither one nor the other is at his fingertips. The beautiful Arsene rejects Sandor, ordering him to become a baron first, and her father Zupan waits for his land, where he would like to graze his pigs. Barinkay then meets Saffi, a beautiful gypsy woman, thanks to whom he finds true love and finds a legendary treasure, and the gypsies call him their baron. Meanwhile, a war breaks out, on which all the inhabitants of the village, including the gypsies, are moving. The women are taken to Vienna, where they can safely wait for fathers, husbands and sons. The war ends and all the heroes return home safe and sound. In exchange for courage during the fights, each of them receives a prize from the prince. Barinkay the title of a baron, all the family estate and the hand of the gypsy Safiya, who (as in operettas) turns out to be the missing princess.
The main roles will be bravely played by the magnificent soloists of Arte Creatura of the Musical Theater accompanied by the excellent Orchestra of the Arte Creatura Musical Theater. The singers and actors are accompanied by the Arte Creatura Music Theatre Orchestra conducted by Marek Kudra/Maciej Perzanowski.
