Baron von Münchhausen lived in the 18th century and told untold stories about himself, which is why he entered literature as a character half fantastic, half real. To this day, it is not known what he invented about himself and what was attributed to him; he became a symbol of colorful bliss.
In Maciej Wojtyszka's play it takes on more serious tones. He appears as an old man, bearing the dire consequences of his actions, but still proclaiming the glory of fantasy. He does not agree to take the world quite seriously and is still ready to pull himself by the hair out of any situation...
Types of lighting used in the performance: strobe lights, bright, flashing, drizzling, smoldering; sudden changes of light and smoke are also used.
