Musical storytelling - sound painting

Three Becks — three musical personalities with different preferences and experiences — have come together to share their shared joy of playing music with others.

Gotthard Beck's compositions combine elements of classical music, jazz, folklore and on-board music. They leave room for improvisation, spontaneous encounters and personal expression. The basis is a music-psychological perspective that ascribes its own emotional effect to every note, every key, every harmony and every rhythm.

In the Becktrio, these compositions develop their very own sound. The different musical roots of the family members — from Oriental, Indian and North African influences to rock, pop and jazz — flow naturally into the music and give it its particular color.

For the Becktrio, music is much more than just stringing notes together. It is an encounter, an expression and a shared experience. Anyone who listens is not just an audience, but part of a musical journey in which sound becomes a language and words become superfluous.
