A musical on the canvas of Tim Burton's 1988 cult film with the memorable title role of Michael Keaton. In Poland, the film is better known under the translated title Beetle Juice. This is the story of the unusual, now deceased, marriage of the Maitlands. This did not prevent them from returning to the world in the form of ghosts. The Maitlands don't even think about moving out of their home, even though a new family has already taken it. In an attempt to chase her away, they enlist the help of Beetlejuice, a chaotic and eccentric spirit who has his own somewhat wacky plans.

The creators of this musical adaptation perfectly transferred to the stage the mixture of weirdness and comic horror created by Burton. But Beetlejuice isn't just a sentimental journey into the fantasy-filled cinema of the late '80s and '90s — it's also a touchingly repainted loss of a teenage girl who has to deal with the loss of her mother. The American premiere of the play was nominated in eight categories for Tony Awards, the theatrical equivalent of the Oscars.
