Before AFF: You will see everything

You will see everything even before AFF - a special pre-premiere screening of Nathan Fielder and Lance Oppenheim's film at Cinema New Horizons and Cinema Muranów.

Elizabeth Holmes once promised that we would see everything. The founder of Theranos, hailed as the feminine Steve Jobs, argued that a drop of blood from a finger is enough for a comprehensive diagnosis, and Silicon Valley has put hundreds of millions of dollars into this promise. We know the result of that investigation: a conviction for fraud and 11 years in prison. Thirty-four days before his sentencing, Holmes makes the same promise to Nathan Fielder, looking into his eyes from a distance of a dozen centimeters.

You will see everything on October 23 at 18:00, as one of the first viewers in the world: a week after the USA and Canada and two weeks before the Polish premiere. We organize special screenings together with Gutek Film, at the Cinema Nowe Horyzonty in Wrocław and at the Muranów Cinema in Warsaw.

The screening will open with a short preview of the film and the 17th TAURON American Film Festival.

Holmes with partner Billy Evans and two children are counting down their last days of freedom in a rented house in San Diego when Nathan Fielder, an uncompromising comedian and provocateur, moves in. The hostess may have become alarmed when reading her guest's CV: in the General Rehearsal, Fielder built replicas of bars and apartments in hangars so that strangers could practice the most difficult conversations of his life. She has had similar attempts. Over the years, she has honed an idealized version of herself, including a black turtleneck and a voice lowered for the needs of investors. It is difficult to find a better-chosen couple: he professionally stages sincerity, she has staged a breakthrough over the years. So begins a film that does not fit into any genre drawer, and since the surprise screening at the Telluride Film Festival has become one of the Oscar favorites. Fielder and co-director Lance Oppenheim (Primetime with Robert Pattinson) brazenly mix documentary with fiction and leave viewers with a question that Holmes never answered outright: what in this game is a frank confession and what is another masterful deception? You've never seen anything like this before.
