About the event

The main character of this unusual monodrama is the teacher, the eponymous belfer. Belfer, as you know, in order to be a belfrem, must have students. In this he is similar to an actor, because an actor, in order to be an actor, must have an audience.

In Jean-Pierre Dopagne's play, Belfer becomes an actor so he can tell the story of his killer adventure with his own graduating class, which led him first to prison and then to the theater. A little complicated at first glance, but not so much. Well, sometimes you become a teacher by vocation, that is, you really want to teach your students something. What if students have these teachings deep in their noses and do everything to discourage the teacher from working? Belfer, too, is a man and sometimes dreams of revenge.

The hero of our monodrama one day begins to get fed up with his wards, and then a funny comedy becomes a criminal drama. But calm down — we are in the theater, where the role of belfra is played, as we mentioned, by an actor. And that in the theater anything can happen, the crime novel becomes a comedy again. And whoever remembers the old Polish saying: “May you teach other people's children” and step into the skin of a belfr for a moment, will have the key to this excellent art.

The role of belfr will be performed by an outstanding actor of our Theater, Przemysław Bluszcz.

Media patrons: RMF Classic, TVP Kultura.

The performance used fragments of songs from the album of the Bończyk/Krzywiński formation “Depressionists”, “Ideologia sueño” and the song “Non, je ne regrette rien” (muz. Ch. Dumont, ed. M. Vaucaire) performed by Michał Bajor.

The license for the performance of the work was issued by the Association of Authors ZAiKS.
