Bella Hull: Mad Cow Disease

Bella hull has had a good year, professionally. Don’t get her wrong. Professionally, things have been great. Unfortunately, this show is about her putrid, horrible personal life.

Part dissociative fantasy, part love letter to stand-up itself, Mad Cow Disease is a surreal new hour from perhaps the only woman able to romanticise a dual carriageway.

“A standout” New York Times

Ten years after her first gig, the “relentlessly acidic” (Time Out ★★★★) Hull reflects on a decade of telling jokes in dark basements. Was it worth it? What other lives could she have led? How does she still not have a driving licence?
