About the event

Artur Daniel Liskowacki celebrates 50 years of artistic work. The prose writer, poet, essayist, journalist and theatre critic, as well as the author of radio plays and children's books, has been associated with Szczecin and its cultural life for decades.

In his work, he repeatedly addressed the theme of his hometown and its transformations. For his artistic activities he received, among others, the Artistic Award of the City of Szczecin in 2000 and the 60th Anniversary Prize of the Polish Radio Szczecin in 2005, and his novel “Eine kleine” was included in the final of the Nike Literary Award.

Over the years, he accompanied the life of Szczecin theatres not only as a critic and observer. He cooperated with local stages, was a jury member of the National Review of Small Forms Theatres, and in 1995 he reactivated the “Amber Ring” plebiscite, giving it a new formula of the Szczecin Theatre Award.

Benefis will be an opportunity to meet Artur Daniel Liskowacki and celebrate five decades of his work and presence in the culture of Szczecin.

The event will take place as part of a cycle of 30/30 — 30 special events to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Cabaret Scene of the Czarny Kota Rudego Parish Cabaret Club.
