Berlin Archaeological!

Real medieval times in Berlin? That still exists, in the former excavation area on Petriplatz! The walls of a 700-year-old school and the lost St. Peter's Church lie here. What kind of school was that? What did the church look like and why is it important? What do the dead from the churchyard reveal? Together, we will search for clues back to the medieval beginnings of the city.

But how do you actually recognize archaeological finds and what happens after they have been excavated? We'll look at this at the workshops above, where they clean, sort and restore.
