With analog synthesizers, electric guitars and vocals, the Berlin-based duo AFAR bridges the gap between nature and industry and creates multi-instrumental soundscapes. The joint experiment “Changing Rules” with pianist Kai Schumacher combines modern piano repertoire by John Cage, Philipp Glass and Steve Reich.
In our series “Berlin — Music of the City in the Konzerthaus”, paths of musicians and ensembles from Berlin cross paths, who are eager to experiment with styles that all have a home in this city — from voguing to strings and synthesizers to jazz. Berlin Tracks wants to inspire, connect communities and invite them to follow different music tracks that together make up the soundtrack of our city.
