Symphonic Landscapes: Kirill Petrenko and Leif Ove Andsnes
tickets
info
Kirill Petrenko conducts a concert program full of atmospheric images of nature: Beethoven's Sixth Symphony, the “Pastorale”, is an homage to rural life and at the same time shows a broad panorama of human emotions. Mendelssohn's Hebrides Overture, on the other hand, takes you to Scotland, more precisely: to the legendary Fingal Cave. Edvard Grieg's piano concerto with Leif Ove Andsnes as soloist evokes associations with Norwegian nature — with echoes of Nordic folklore and solo passages in which trolls and elves seem to storm the concert podium.
