English singer-songwriter Beth Orton guests Hotel Cecil on February 4, 2027 with her acclaimed ninth album, 'The Ground Above', in her luggage. Ticket sales will start on Thursday, October 8, at 10 a.m. via Billetlugen.

Over several decades, English Beth Orton has moved in her very own musical landscape, where folk, indie and electronic music meet. From 90s folktronica and collaborations with William Orbit and The Chemical Brothers to the acclaimed 2022 album 'Weather Alive' (Partisan), she has built up a vast and eclectic song catalogue.

Now she is currently working on her ninth album, 'The Ground Above', which has received high praise from Pitchfork and at home Politiken, who tweeted with 5 hearts and the words: “With her fragile-strong voice, Beth Orton wriggles and cuts deep into my heart again.” — Politiken. On the album, Orton reunites with drummer Tom Skinner, known from The Smile and Sons of Kemet, while Shahzad Ismaily and Sam Beste (The Vernon Spring) also star.
