Join us for an exclusive advance screening of 'Beyond the Brush: The Arnolfini Portrait', the first episode of Series 2.
Beyond the Brush is a six-part art history documentary series on Sky Arts, hosted by Siân Walters, Director of Art History in Focus, alongside co-presenter James Payne.
The first episode of the new series explores one of the most celebrated artists of the Northern Renaissance, Jan van Eyck who transformed painting with his extraordinary attention to detail and groundbreaking techniques. Behind one of his most iconic paintings lies a world of hidden symbolism, mystery and intrigue. We explore the artist, his revolutionary methods and the secrets concealed within a painting that continues to fascinate audiences nearly six centuries later.
The screening will be followed by a conversation and Q&A with Siân Walters.
Series 1 of Beyond the Brush is available to watch on Sky Arts.
