We invite you to another screening as part of Kinoversum 2026. This time on the “No Exit” screen of Park Chan-wook! A film by the master of Korean cinema, with Lee Byung-hun (“Squid Game”) in the role of a man who, after 25 years of work, loses his job and decides to get it back at all costs, finding a solution definitely outside of HR manuals. When the job market is relentless, competition must be eliminated. The protagonist of “No Way Out” — the new film by Park Chan-wook, creator of “Oldboy,” “The Handmaid” and “Suspect” — is literally taking matters into his own hands. The Korean master of genre cinema makes a disturbingly accurate diagnosis of contemporary anxiety—in his uncompromising, authorial style.

After the screening, Sara Nowicka - popularizer of cinema and Maciej Kiełbas - an expert on Asian cinema - will talk about the film and its poeticism, the issue of working in the age of AI and humor.

During “Kinoversum 2026” we watch poetic films and actively listen to conversations with people of culture who create or study works with similar aesthetics. The project is a development of the series of posts “Kinoversum KwP”, conducted in the social media of KwP by the poet Nina Manel. The cycle is co-financed by the City of Kraków.

Graphic design: Agata Olszewska.

All interlocutors within the framework of the project will receive a fee of PLN 1000 gross. The Culture in Work Association provides information on the rates of participants of publicly funded events as part of the #ZnamyStawki transparency campaign.

We cordially invite you, let the picture speak to you in verse!

About the film: Man-su (star of “Squid Game”, Lee Byung-Hun) leads an ideal life: stable employment, family, home, two golden retrievers. But one day is enough for the idyll to turn into a horror. Man-su loses his job at the paper factory, and with it his status, masculinity, identity, honor and meaning in life. To recover them, he will stop at nothing, especially since wet work brings as much satisfaction as paper work.
