On 26 October 2026 at 10:00am in the Maria Koterbska Cultural Centre Bielski, an information and educational meeting will be held as part of the project “Safe senior on the road and in the network”. The event is aimed at seniors who want to learn how to effectively protect themselves from hazards in everyday life. The special guest of the meeting will be Andrzej Rybiński. Participation is free (you need to pick up a free ticket at the BCK ticket offices).
Road safety, the use of the Internet, electronic banking or online shopping are issues that older people are increasingly facing. Modern technologies facilitate everyday functioning, but they also carry risks, which is why it is so important to know how to recognize them and how to react to them.
During the meeting in Bielski Centrum Kultury, experts from the Road Traffic Department of the Provincial Police Command in Katowice and the Central Office for Combating Cybercrime will give the participants practical tips on road safety and in the digital space. Seniors will learn, among other things, how to avoid online fraud, protect their personal data and move safely in traffic.
The musical special guest of the event will be Andrzej Rybiński — an esteemed singer, composer and guitarist, known among others for his timeless hit “I don't count hours and years”. His performance will be an opportunity to spend time together to well-known and liked songs.
The meeting in Bielsko-Biała is part of a series of six events organized in October in the Silesian Voivodeship. The project is implemented by the Marshal's Office of the Silesian Voivodeship in cooperation with the Provincial Police Command in Katowice and local governments.
