About the event

They were united by love and Nazi views. Three young right-wing extremists from Jena spent years planning bombings and robbing banks. They murdered ten immigrants and carried out thirty-two failed assassination attempts. The brilliant investigative journalist Jacob Kushner asks: how is it possible that they remained elusive for so long?

It turns out that at first the policemen did not even take into account that the terrorists could be white Germans. They looked for perpetrators among Roma, Kurds, Turks, they believed that the victims were connected with the criminal world. When the development of far-right circles was finally taken up, secret intelligence officers financed terrorist activities with public money provided to them. No one has ever answered for the errors in this investigation. This is not a story about the banality of evil — only about the banal incompetence of the German state, which turned a blind eye to its own history and turned out to be not so much defenseless against neo-Nazism as simply weak.

The conversation will be moderated by Dagny Kurdwanowska.

Translation into Polish: Paula Gorszczyńska.

Admission is free.
