Over his more than 50-year career, Grammy-winning guitarist Bill Frisell has released numerous critically acclaimed records across jazz, americana, country, blues and more, collaborating with names such as Paul Motian, Charles Lloyd, John Zorn, Lucinda Williams and Norah Jones. This evening he plays a rare solo concert, duo with Skuli Sverrisson and in two different magnificent ensembles.

METTE RASMUSSEN & VESLEMØY NARVESEN (EN/EN)
Two of the most interesting voices on the Norwegian jazz scene, saxophonist Mette Rasmussen and drummer Veslemøy Narvesen meet both as a duo and in the international big band that gathers on the last night of the festival. Mette Rasmussen is Danish, lives in Trondheim, has played with Godspeed You Black Emperor, Fire! Orchestra and AXE - with whom she received Alternative Release of the Year at DMA Jazz 2025 in VEGA.

The Danish guitarist and composer Jakob Bro (b. 1978) has released 25 albums as a bandleader and has become a recognized name on the international jazz scene after playing with Paul Motian, Tomasz Stanko, Lee Konitz, Joe Lovano, Midori Takada, Charles Lloyd and others. In collaboration with Danish and international profiles, Jakob Bro has shown facets of his special sense of melody and basic aesthetic form that seem to rise over time and place. He was nominated for the Nordic Council Music Prize in 2014 for his Balladeering trilogy with Bill Frisell and Craig Taborn, among others.

About Loveland Music Festival
What happens when you bring together a dozen of the leading Danish musicians and international icons and put them on stage together for the first time? That's what the new annual festival, the Loveland Music Festival has set out to investigate on November 30 to December 2 at the Bremen Theater. Over three festival days, the participants are thrown into a collective and spontaneous musical universe at the intersection of ambient, new classical and improvisational music to create an enriching and intoxicating once-in-a-lifetime experience for everyone in the hall.
