About the event

“Bim-Bom-Boom! Workaholic Romantic Comedy” is a show about love in the age of algorithms, the story of a couple who meet through a “cybermatchmaker” — an app to connect people who don't have time to date...

After an overdose of overtime in the corporation, computer scientist Dariusz goes to rehab from work at the Łódź Burnout Clinic, where CEOs, officials, actors and teachers learn how not to work, get bored and moody, participating in sessions led by his sister Rezyliencja and the eccentric professor Krindża — a vacationer and burnout therapist. After putting off screens and deadlines, Darek suffers anxiety states that are exacerbated when his partner Honia announces that she is pregnant and boss Laura wants to get him out of the clinic and forces him to complete the programming of the dating app Empaton. Darek refuses to spend time with his family, but when Empaton kidnaps Honia, he has to go back to work and hack an AI-powered app that wants to kill him.

A rescue from the commercialization of love and the breakup of the relationship is to become the student theater Bim Bom, which returns to the stage on the occasion of the 600th anniversary of Łódź with a program full of surreal twists, stage machines and concepts that the employees of the corporation did not dream of.

Will the computer scientist manage to win back his beloved and defeat artificial intelligence? Can love be the cure for overwork? Or does the real feeling require too much work and has no place for it in the burgeoning world? We invite employees of all industries to a surreal evening in Łódź Burnout Clinic and a session of intensive bubble therapy!
