Geburtstag

Marcos Timoleon (the life role of Willem Dafoe), a Greek billionaire modeled after Aristotle Onassis, organizes a birthday party for his daughter (Vic Carmen Sonne: “Girl with a Needle”) on his private island to celebrate her 25th birthday, to which he invites the world's elite and the band The Animals. He would like to announce her engagement to the son of a wealthy business partner. However, she is in love with someone else — a poor ghostwriter (Joe Cole: Peaky Blinders), who is writing her father's biography. Authoritarian, intolerant of opposition, Marcos will not hesitate to do anything, resorting to intrigue, blackmail and even more to carry out his succession plan, because “family is the most difficult business”.
