Black Creatives: Riverscribes Scratch Night

Black Creatives: Riverscribes Scratch Night is a special edition of our monthly scratch night, celebrating and showcasing new work from Black writers and theatre-makers.

Hosted and curated by Riverscribes Playwriting Facilitator Nadine Gray, the evening brings together a selection of Black writers to share 10-minute extracts of their work, performed script-in-hand in the intimate setting of Riverside Studios River Room.

From brand new ideas to extracts from plays already in development, each writer has the opportunity to put their work in front of a live audience, hear their words brought to life and receive constructive audience feedback.

This is an opportunity to test, explore and develop new writing in a supportive and welcoming environment. Black Creatives continues that spirit while creating a dedicated platform to champion Black voices, stories and perspectives.

Whether you’re a writer, performer, theatre maker or simply passionate about discovering new work, join us for an evening of fresh writing, conversation and creativity.
