Los Angeles in 2019: a juggernaut submerged in eternal night, eroded by corrosive rain and covered with rampant data and other trash. In this gigantic urban jungle, special detective Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford), as a so-called “Blade Runner”, must involuntarily eliminate four replicants (artificial people who have consciousness and memory). As much as BLADE RUNNER became style-forming for subsequent science fiction films, the extraordinary production design of the film (Syd Mead) defined the look of a supposed future.
