Glow of the Ages | Meetings at a friendly pace

meeting place: in the arcade courtyard, at the entrance to the exhibition entitled “Enlightened. The Art of Light.”
cost: PLN 1 per participant; caregiver of a person with dementia participates free of charge.

Gilded candlesticks will allow us to look at court everyday life and the role of light in the castle interiors. We will combine them with the works of young artists taking up the theme of castle lighting. It will be an opportunity to talk about how contemporary art draws from ancient objects, as well as the light that accompanies our everyday and special moments. Then we will do works inspired by light and brilliance.

Meetings at a friendly pace are a series of four meetings combining acquaintance with museum objects with conversation and artistic activities. We will look at the old ways of protecting the house, gilded candlesticks and contour belts. Through these items we will talk about safety, light and the importance of clothing — things that belonged to the everyday life of the former inhabitants, and in various forms accompany us.
