George Gershwin & Astor Piazzolla

Two continents. Two musical revolutions. One unforgettable evening.

We invite you to a unique concert, combining George Gershwin's American jazz with the Argentine tango Astor Piazzolla.

The evening will open with “Blue Rhapsody” — one of the most important works of the 20th century, combining jazz and symphonic music. The solo parts will be performed by pianist Tomasz Marut, whose interpretations combine virtuosity with emotional depth.

In the second part we will move to Buenos Aires thanks to “The Four Seasons” by Astor Piazzolla. The soloist will be Roksana Kwaśnikowska, whose expression and elegance bring out the fullness of tango nuevo.

They will be accompanied by the Orchestra of the Cavalier de Saint-George — the band has been delighting audiences in Poland and abroad since 2017, performing in Paris and Île-de-France.

It is an evening of meeting styles, cultures and emotions — from jazz to the fiery passion of tango.
