Bloody Weekend 2026 - Dracula: The Night Around Us

The story of Dracula has undergone many remakes and reimaginings, but with Dracula: The Night Around Us, the story has now also gained a place in American mumblegore indie film.
Dr. John Seward works in an institution where he works with insane criminals. John is also not too mentally well himself, as he is both depressed and has to deal with his patient Renfield, who issues one dark warning after another. Fortunately, John also gets to know his neighbor Mina and her daughter Lucy, which gives him hope... at least until something gloomy and primitive rises up from the depths of darkness.
In Dracula: The Night Around Us, Dracula is not a charming gentleman, but a grotesque monster who ravages ordinary citizens of an American metropolis where emptiness and desperation are no longer the main enemy.
