Bloody Weekend 2026 - Recluse

Gothic horror is the bedrock of Recluse, where the big, scary house and all its secrets and concealments are like a menacing leitmotif that forms the setting for an enigmatic past.
Young sound engineer Joan is obsessed with sounds — and with the memory of her mother's mysterious disappearance. After a fateful fire accident, she returns to her childhood home, a remote New England estate where her unrecognizably incinerated father lies for death. At the estate, Joan finds herself on the trail of a series of disturbing audio recordings, which lead her toward a hidden family secret -- or further into her own dark mind?
With a story that could come straight from Edgar Allan Poe, Recluse is an ode to occult shadows -- and to the importance of an eminent, shuddering sound design.
