Blood and Sun

Blood and Sun is a dark folk project created by Luke Tromiczak and performed with changing musicians from across the United States. The music is ritualistic, intense and marked by a raw simplicity, with vocals, strings and a pulsating, almost ceremonial rhythm forming the foundation. With roots in traditional folk and a distinct spiritual dimension, the songs revolve around existential themes, personal hardships and a search for meaning.

Since beginning in 2011, the project has achieved international acclaim for its dark, mood-saturated songwriting, in which gothic tones and mythically inspired narratives merge into both grand and intimate moments. Working in the field of tension between the earthly and the metaphysical, Blood and Sun creates music that both challenges and gathers its audience.

The sound draws on elements of 70s folk, black metal aesthetics and atmospheric soundscapes, with repetition and texture playing a central role. The result is an expression that feels both timeless and present.

On their 2026 European tour, Luke Tromiczak will perform alongside Erik Wivinus, Lilian Liu and Sawyer Gebauer. Audiences can experience Blood and Sun's special universe live when they guests BETA on November 20.
