Bodil Jorgensen & Lisbeth Wulff

Bodil Jørgensen and Lisbeth Wulff bring Trine's Mother from Equestrian to life Bremen Theatre

The iconic mother-daughter conflict from Equestrian, Trine's mother, moves off the screen and onto the stage of the Bremen Theatre in October. For the very first time, audiences can experience Bodil Jørgensen and Lisbeth Wulff live in a show that brings together the best of two decades of phone conversations -- and gives the audience the opportunity to curl their toes when mom calls Trine up again. And calling. And calling.

It will be cross-border, recognisable and utterly ungovernable!

Rytteriet started as a radio satire on DR in 2009 and quickly became one of the most popular satire programmes in Denmark. With its wacky humor and wry look at the absurdities of everyday life, Horsemanship has created a series of unforgettable characters, of which Trine's mother is among the most beloved and recognizable. With his mix of overprotection, cross-border commentary and sharp comedy, Bodil Jørgensen portrays a mother role to Lisbeth Wulff's Trine that is both frustrating, touching and impossible to get around.

In Trine's mother -- live! brings together the best phone conversations of all time, peppered with new scenes and surprises, in a festive tribute to the family bond that we love to hate. The show comes with DJ Lisa Kaye as the evening's disco queen, providing leg warmers, dancing and music that takes the audience back to Trine's childhood and upbringing in the detached house garden.

It's going to be a wacky show full of surprises about family ties, telephone wires and umbilical cords that refuse to be clipped over.

As Bodil Jørgensen and Lisbeth Wulff themselves say: “We can promise, it will be hell. We're going to tear Trine around the country -- and it's not going to be a Sunday ride. We guarantee warmth, laughter, dance and drama. And we promise Mommy will cross the line. Many times.”
